About Concern Cymru
Concern Cymru is a charitable counselling service run by Christians. Services are delivered by the charity’s team of 30 volunteer counsellors and psychotherapists, each of whom is professionally qualified.
The qualifications of each of our counsellors ranges from Level 3 in counselling skills, to Diploma, Degree and Masters-level.
Concern Cymru’s purpose is not to influence people in Christianity, but to provide a community service that helps people in their time of need, regardless of their religious views.
As a registered charity, we do not charge for counselling, but rely on donations. The average cost of each counselling session costs around £35. If people can contribute towards these costs, we gratefully accept. If not, this does not hinder the service that we offer to each person.

Times and locations
Our key office is based at Plas Teroda in Cardiff, where our dedicated counselling rooms are used to serve referrals from across the South Wales area. We also have bases in Pontypridd, the Afan Valley and Peterston-Super-Ely, from which communities in this area can access our services. Due to increasing demand, our vision is to open new centres in Swansea, Barry, and Bridgend, so that our service becomes as accessible as possible to people in these areas.
Our online counselling service is available to anyone within the UK.
We recognise that people can only come for counselling at certain days and times and are therefore entirely flexible. We offer counselling during the days Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am until 8pm in the evening.
Confidentiality
